I cannot share a story about this period but thought this was important. I do not want to add this info to another time period because it is in relation to the present period. Over 10 years ago, I can't give you any dates because I can't remember, we had a lot of sparrows at home. They build nests particularly inside the house. Then we added nets to our windows to keep out the mosquitoes, and it appears that they started disappearing shortly after that. This is difficult to understand because they did have place in the verandahs to nest (other birds still do). I have seen a few sparrows normally in pairs outside my office(same area), but no nests. The crows have disappeared as also has the hoopoe. But our garden has attracted new bird visitors. Maybe you should do a study about the other birds as well.
