I got to know about this forum through a friend. Later discovered that another friend's organization is also involved in this project. I recently developed interest in birding. Even before this, I have come to observe that the sparrow's presence in our local vicinity has declined to an alarming rate. I have traveled to many cities across 3 states, in the past 3 years. I have noted that this is a phenomenon in all these big cities and towns too! My work takes me to remote villages, where house sparrows are still common. This brings a joyous leap in my heart, each time when I see them.
