| Tell us more about yourself | I am a nature lover. We have a vast Defence land
adjoining house where
we can watch the different birds
and sunrise. We are woken up in the morning
by chirping of birds. We have plenty of birds
including the house sparrow in our locality.
We keep grains and water for the birds daily in our balcony and we enjoy
watching the birds enjoying our offer of food and water. We have observed a good no. of them in our another home
nearby adjoinng Botanical Garden, Bopodi.
The population is however felt diminishing..
We had a vast greenery with all kinds of trees
in the Defence land, which is a santuary for the birds. Unfortunately the Defence workers set fire
to the lawn, an easy way
of clearing the bush.
It causes a wild fire and
damages all the nests, eggs and youngones, destroying the greenery, flora and fauna. We brought to the notice of the authorities but of no avail. The Defence people are trained for killing the enemy without any mercy. But here it is merciless killing of the harmless innocent.
