Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?Last decade of the last centuary was a time when house sparrows were very common in residential areas. Frequently they would try to build nests in our homes and residents would try everything to keep these birds from coming into the house. But today still staying in the same colony for the last 28 years, we miss these beautiful birds, those messy nests & most of all the chirpy little ones. We have grown up listening to stories about these sparrows. But the drastic reduction in the population of house sparrows makes me wonder whether our future generations would be able to do the same. Infact I doubt whether they would be able to spot a house sparrow in their neighbourhood. It shouldn't be that a sparrow becomes just another bird in the extinct list of a bird book that they might read about.
