Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? We live in the outskirts of a district town in the northern part of West Bengal. Sparrows live with us making nests in the ventilators, dirtying our walls and floors. We endure it, offer them food like rice, crusts of biscuits etc. They gleefully eat even share it simultaneously with birds much bigger than them - like dove etc. No bickering among them. They chirp and dance joyfully in the branches of our tinny orchard. There also they face no problem with other small and big birds. And they breed though not so steadily - one or two siblings at one go. Parents feed them. It's a wonderful sight. There are 4 - 5 'Mobile' towers within 250 m. to 800 m.of our residence which effect production of coconut trees in the area including ours as is said by the people. But with ' God's grace ' the sparrows are still safe. Possibly, as they enjoy the other environs required for them.
