I have an observation to make regarding Sparrows.
I noticed a lot of them in the terminal building of the airport(RGIA) yesterday.(02 May2012)
They are seen nesting in the metal girdles of the roof and also the false roofing of the waiting lounge.
It was actually a treat to see them over fly the stalls and the eateries.
There were many passengers who took notice of their over flights and hunt for food droppings and insects.
As per my estimation there could be over a 100 birds there.
In my opinion they have found a safe haven here in the comfort of air conditioned atmosphere, 24 hr food and undisturbed shelters high above.
I am afraid this will catch the attention of the airport authorities and soon this' Bird Menace' in the aviators' view may be eradicated once for all.
I request the experts to step in to conserve the last few birds.
We may need to get in touch with the airport authorities to pave an amicable solution. I am willing to be a part of the team.
