Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?I lived in the locality from birth. My house has an aangan where we used to put jowar dana, wheat pulses ans seeds for the birds, esp. Pigeons and Sparrows. The sparrows loved the rece grains the most. The noise they made when eating, actually breaking the rice pulse into pieces for eating. I used to sit in a windoow facing the aangan with my legs hanging from them watching for hours the small little packets of energy moving here and there, chirping and make seem time as wind, which would flow by. The sparrows loved to bath in the drinking bowl. We used to keep a bowl of water for the birds to quench their thirst. But as you know , the birds do not know that they mustn't drink what they bathe in. The sparrows would dive into sand and loose dirt of the aangan and then into the bowl of water. Splash and sploosh..... They were the athletes of the bowl. I LOVE THEM. BUT OF LATELY, THE COUNT HAS BECOME SO LESS :-( THAT I HARDLY GET TO SEE THEM AND WISH IF WE COULD SEE THEM MORE OFTEN :-)) Ami
