Panchavati Area is surrounded on two sides by Vetal Tekdi and two sides be government land. The Mantri avenue complex is also a residence for many birds, very common being of Sparrows, Pigeons, Brahmany mainas, Bulbuls ,owls, sunbirds and even sighted a Shikhara. These areas on Pashan road are reasonally in thre green belt with much open space The chirpy sparrows perch on the windows of my house from morning and have several nests in the bushes as well as in the Balcony. In fact to reduce the menace of the pigeons littering the Balcony, i had put a Jali to the balcony. Finding a small opening few weeks two pairs of sparrows have managed to reside in the balcony making a home of themselves in a gap near the ceiling and wall. The sparrows are found in plenty not just in our complex but also in the whole of Panchavati, throughout the year.
