I remember my student life during the period of 1975-82, when a group of house sparrows use to take away the biscuits from my study table. All the children were trained by my Grand Father to keep a earthen bowl full of Millet and a separate bowl of water for birds. I still remember our roof top to be fully covered with House Sparrows.
Those days, the birds allowed us to go much near to them but now a days the House sparrows are very few in number and they are very much fearful of any human movements.
