| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | I lived in Anushakti Nagar since childhood and in 1980 and 1990s, there used to be many sparrows. But in late 90's and 2000 onwards, the sparrows were not sighted and their population had dwindled alarmingly. There are plenty of crows and monkeys in Anushakti Nagar. These destroy the sparrow's nest and eat the eggs. Mobile towers also came up in large numbers near Anushakti Nagar and Chembur. In my opinion, all these reasons have contributed to the sharp drop in sparrow's population. Hence we were dishearted not
to hear the sparrow's chirp for many years.
