Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period?Gayatrinagar, Raipur. Dt 10 July 2006 ; 1.Out of the 5 sparrows feeding , one female suddenly attacked a male and drove it away. Dt 20 July 2006. 1. Female bringing grass straw to reinforce the nest.also on 21 July . Dt 24 July 2006. 1. A male brought a dead black coloured, winged insect about 12/15 mm long, finding it rather difficult to manouvre, managed & flew, it was near to a wasp in identification. Dt 25 July 2006. 1, Three eggs found on floor below the nest in our house.One got broken and showed a half developed feutus , wings visible. Dt 13 August 2006. 1.A male in vigorous persuit of a Chestnut Bittern. 2.Mating observed, male mounted 11 times, 5 failures. Dt 03 September ; 1. A female observed feeding a subadult chick. Dt 04 Sept 2006. 1.A male sparrows attempted feeding on a half dry Drumstick flower, lying on ground., which it finally collected and flew.
