| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | The sparrows here have done the work of 'building inspector'! They have built their nests in various gaps in the building structure for e.g. in the staircase where there is a gap between the flight of stairs and the ceiling; at regular intervals on drain pipes from terrace where they have a support; and near outdoor AC units - although this seems to be their day time resting place. They wake us up at 5.30 sharp with a terrific din in the stairwell! They move around in pairs and come right up to the window sill if I put some crumbs for them. They keep picking out stuff from the potted plants and seem to prefer drinking water from the base of the pot rather than the clean water kept outside! |
