On my way home saw a pair of sparrows flying to a false entresol or mezzanine, that had a convenient place to build a nest at the top, with a sheltered roof above and far away from any danger from humans or animals. I am not sure if they were nesting (Do they at this time of the year? but this has been a very unusual summer and it has rained quite a bit in the past couple of weeks- never happens in May) but they were definitely preparing to roost with the sun going down. Good to know this pair found a safe spot. |
