| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | My mom puts out some cooked rice on the balcony every morning for birds (crows mainly). She has been doing this for many years, as far as i can remember. There used to be mynahs, sparrows, crows and pigeons crowding our balcony each morning, vying for the food crumbs. A few years back, I noticed that my beloved tiny li'l sparrows never visited anymore. I didn't see them in the nearby parks or any trees in the locality either. This happened for a few years. But i'm glad to say that a few weeks back i spotted 2-3 sparrows chirping happily in my balcony. Does this mean they're back for good?? Sure hope so!
I would still like to know what caused them to go away for so many years. Thank you for doing this project! |
