| Tell us more about yourself | I am a materials scientist by profession and am passionately interested in conservation of wildlife and ecology. While the economic progress has to march on in India, we need to continuously make remedial measures to compensate mother Earth for our increasing carbon footprint through innovative means, especially afforestation. So what can be a better way than to afforest and restore marginally forested lands abutting Bandipur? It gives our tigers and elephants more space, while providing precious livelihood to local community. We are in the process of offeresting buffer land near Bandipur by using scientific methods of water harvesting techniques. Let us put ourselves to keep our own earth green and rich, even in our busy times. I am an amateur bird watcher and photographer with few good photographs covered in Western Ghats. |
