Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? One morning i was preparing for office,i saw a sparrow couple hoovering around here n there ( as if in search of something) After observing tem for few minutes,i understood ( from my experience with birds since childhood),that they are looking for a place to make a nest. I found myself helpless at that moment, but soon an idea striked me,I took an Empty shoe box,cut an appropriate hole at one side & sealed the top.then i tied the box at the top of the grill(within shed) of my balcony & left for the day. I started observing the box & waited the sparrows to accept it,but after few days I got dissapointed until one evening when i spotted some traces of dry grass in the floor right below the box, excitements ran through me,next morning i saw the sparrow couple coming out & going in with dry grass in their beaks & I understood that they have accepted the box & making a nest in it. I was so HAPPY that I cant explain,Money cannot buy this happiness. Now they are settled & i am hoping the babies to come out soon. I think every bird lover (Infact every human being) should try & do something for these lovely creatures. I would also like to participate in any such initiatives again,Please fee free to be in touch. Regards Debdeep 9831415675
