| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | The pair of sparrows, Gaura-Gauri, left their nest on 30 April 2012. Before leaving the nest, they taught lesions of flight to their newly raised chicks by balancing and flapping the wings in the air. Probably two chicks took their first flight on 28th, another two on 29th and the fifth one on 30th April. A new pair, Chida & Chidi, surveyed the area same day and started building their nest on top of the cardboard boxes. After completing the nest, laid eggs, raised the brood and we heard faint chirping of the new born babies on 25 th may. Since then their chirping call notes have become quite louder. And, we are afraid, they may take their first flight any day & say goodbye to us! |
