My family has been living at this location (a farm surrounded by shrub forests) since the 1970's and as far as my memory serves, i always saw Sparrows during my childhood, they used to make their nests inside the house even, in old chandeliers and we would not use the lights till the nests were abandoned. And since the 1990's, they were spotted occasionally and now it is extremely rare to spot these wonderful birds.
