Sarfaraz Hassan - Bolar bolar Mangalore Karnataka

I live in Mangalore a coastal city in Karnataka, India. My childhood was very green, I played in the fields, hanged to trees, fished in ponds & sat by the river side. It was really a wonderland for me, It did not take many years to replace these fields with concrete structures, with these have gone those small birds & plants. A big market is located just 1Km away from my home, As my family had a grocery business I usually visited the market with my dad. I loved the smell of fresh fruits & vegetables, Near this market there is a place where people trade grains (e.g. Rice wheat etc.)labors used to load and unload gunny bags filled with grains, at this time some grains fallout from these bags and on these grains depended a large group of sparrows & some other birds. With changes like old shops being replaced with new malls & supermarkets, gunny bags replaced with plastic bags and labors being replaced with modern vehicles there was no chance of grains being spill out, so the routine of the birds changed & now they cannot be changed in these places, I really miss those chirpy noise of the sparrows. I now work in Abudhabi and i see more sparrows here than my home place, When I was on vacation talking to my mom she suddenly said see a sparrow, I had not heard this word before. I really feel bad for the next generation they possibly will see these birds through visual media. We humans are changing a lot and I really feel the world is coming to an end, Thanks for giving an opportunity to bring back those childhood moments back. All the best.
