My mother regularly keeps a bowl full of water and some bajraa in our garden. However, the sparrows are always more interested in my dog's food (roti and milk). The moment we keep his food in the garden they "attack" his bowl and relish the feast rather than goin for there own food, providind entertainment to us as our dog is running after them all the tym out of "jealousy". ;)
P.S. :he has never hurt a sparrow, he just shoos them away from his bowl.
