During this period, the sparrows have built a permanent nest in our balcony and their numbers grew into two digits. We also started keeping food for them in the balcony as well as in the terrace garden. Now on any given day more than 10 sparrows visit our house apart from other birds. (like pigeons, humming birds, egrates, wood peckers to name a few)

This is the time, when we moved into the Kamakoti Nagar, Pallikaranai and during this time we used to see few sparrows, but sparingly (<5 in number in 2006/7) in the entire colony. After we started our terrace garden (along with the water baths for birds). Our house started attracting more sparrows and their numbers grew steadily.
