I have been living in this area for more than 28 years. When I was a kid, sparrows used to come in our house and make nests. We had a large tree right in front of our house and whole day we would enjoy the chi chi of the sparrows and gradually they vanished. Now I have started seeing more sparrows regularly. Every morning I see 2-3 sparrows sitting on grounds, windows and just flying around. Haven't seen any nests though. But its really great to see them back.
