I generally walk every morning down this road. On 12th Feb 2013, at about 7 AM in the morning, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw three sparrows flitting across this road, near a grocery shop!!!It was SUCH a pretty sight! :)
Wish we can bring the cute birds back to our homes and lives...

I saw just one sparrow very recently, when I was there for a weekend break. There is a vacant plot of land right behind my house, with a few trees, and I saw one cute li'l sparrow perched comfortably and chirping away happily!

Recently I saw one sparrow in this same area that was once teeming with the birds. Yes, just one. It looked lonely :(

Those were really the golden days! I vividly remember sparrows fying in and out of my bedroom through the windows! Oh the chirps and the joy! We used to regularly see, on an average, 10-15 sparrows, daily. We used to feed them grains, not that they used to wait for us to :) There have been so many occasions when grains were being dried on the teraace, the place used to be swarming with sparrows. There was once an instance when one sparrow had built its nest on the top most shelf in my room! It really was blissful. They are SUCH wonderful stress busters! Sadly, they started dwindling slowly and now crows seem to have replaced all of them :( Lets do something to bring back our chirpy pals!
