Sweet memories of house sparrows from my childhood. We were a big joint family. We had to comb our hair before 3 pm as house sparrows would come by then. If the mirror is not covered, it would fight with its image in mirror and would get hurt. I used to grumble a lot about it.

A pair made nest into my kitchen cloth bag hug in our working balcony. Till that time I didn't know the babies of house sparrows are purely carnivore.
One day a myna came to eat the baby but hearing lots of noise we went to the balcony and it flew away. Female sparrow fell into the bucket full of water. My papa took it out. I thought it was dead. My son and I were very sad. But after a few minutes it opened its eyes. Mean while papa had dried it with a cloth. It flew away. One day when I came from school the bag was empty.I could not see the babies fly away.
