When we were young they were part of our house. we used enjoy their presence. Now no more we see them. Our kids hardly know how to recognize them. My husband has written an article about his experiences with sparrows in Kannada and it got published in Deepavali special issue of Vijaya Karnataka, a local Kannada daily.
