I spotted sparrows in my backyard.i started feeding them rice grains for almost +2years now.The sparrows prefer rice to millets and other small grains.Two boxes for nests were set up last year but they nested in one of it this year.Two sparrows were found dead last year but the cause was not worked out.The flight distance is minimising and the sparrows chirp from early morning.I put grains and water every day at 8 AM which i feel is slightly late.Myna,bulbul and robin also visit but all feed together.No photographs or observations have been recorded.
The habitat is shrinking as two willow shrubs fell during monsoon and new construction only one willow bush left for roosting now.
