Prakash Shridhar Joshi - Shastri Hall - residential colony Mumbai Maharashtra

By 1970's our housing society underwent a change. Some of the old buildings & trees, open spaces gave way to a new building a 9 story (where I reside since 1970). The surrounding property which had a small bungalow surrounded by lots of varieties of trees like mango, banyan, lots of bushes also gave way for a new residential building 22 floors -know as Matru Mandir-
However the other two/three sides covering our residential colony still had old tenements with few trees. So there was still skyline over viewing some part of Mulbar Hill, Chaupati see front. The fans in residence (7th floor) were hardly used even in summer. Sparrow though reduced considerably were seen hopping to pick up rice grains/ left over of food grains being cleaned in the morning & evening hours.
