During these years, sparrows were frequent visitors and pigeons came occassionally on my window. There was a gap above the glass panes where the sparrows used to build nest.
As years passed by, pigeons became a menace so we had to cover our window with a mesh. Unfortunately, we unwillingly shut our window to our sparrow friends.

A few months ago,at 10 am one fine day, I heard chirping on my window and was surprised to see a sparrow. Surprised because I realised I hadn't seen a sparrow for a really long time. 3-4 years earlier, sparrows were regular visitors. Slowly their numbers dwindled. I didn't miss them as I was busy with my life. A chance visit from my chirping friend that day reminded me of them and suddenly I started missing them! Hope they return soon!!!
