In 1990s there were a lot of sparrows in our locality we used to see them daily, they used to come daily in our veranda and roof, they nested in the alcoves of our house, my grandfather used to feed them on kakun. But as years passed, i noticed a gradual decline in the number of sparrows. At present (2012) sparrows do not dwell here, they use to come from somewhere in small numbers and return and that too not on a regular basis.
