I never saw house sparrows in this area. However, there are about hundreds of pigeons and parrots in this area. May be the presence and dwelling of so many pigeons is the reason that there are no house sparrows here.

Salasar hanuman temple is a big and well known temple in Rajasthan. There is an open space inside the temple having trees and you can see there uncountable sparrows above you chirping there freely alongwith their nests on the trees.

One sparrow daily comes to my house and eats the leftovers of our lunch and dinner. Some sparrows are seen on terrace and a fair number of sparrows along with nest on a nearby neem tree.

I could daily find one or two sparrows in my balcony everyday and sometimes flock of sparrows flying in the sky. My morning used to start with chirping of sparrows. One sparrow had even built a nest in my home.
