We live in a fairly old building. Earlier, sparrows used to nest in the skylight. But the insatallation of airconditioners forced us to close down these old skylights. Same with many other buildings in my area.
We have a puja room in our flat with a large old fashioned window with grills. After my mother finishes her puja, a large group of sparrows enter the room to pick at the rice grains that are offered to the idols. While we see a large number of sparrows at this point of time, there has been a def decline in the number of birds seen in the neighborhood.
