Groups of sparrows would land on a tree outside our workshop several times everyday and we used to keep some grains for them to eat in many nearby locations.
Due to road-widening the tree was murdered, and with it went the charming visits of the chirpy sparrows. We have never seen another sparrow in Hebbal after that.
