Shishir R. Raval - Pratap Gunj Pratapgunj Vadodara Gujarat

I have lived in four different houses / flats this neighborhood since early 1960s. Before I left for out of country in 1985, there were plenty of house sparrows and active nest (even inside our flats). Then whenever I visited / came back home for holidays (in 1989, 1994, 1998, and 2002), I gradually saw the decline sparrow population. I have moved back to India and live in the same neighborhood since 2005. I have not seen a single sparrow since then. It is a sad situation. In Gujarati children's literature male and female sparrows are depicted as main characters. Now, my children can't relate with it. We the humans must understand that this planet is NOT meant for only us. A new ecological economy must / can be evolved. Let me know how we can work together... but for a holistic vision and approach. Best..
