My daughter went to this park early this morning. The park is adjacent to the Qutub Institutional area and there is an abandoned building nearby. The sparrows were seen in the area around this abandoned building.

My daughter went to Lakshmi Nagar to appear for an exam. The exams were held over one week, and there were a few sparrows around the premises of the school where the exams were held.

Shopping Mall Vasant Kunj II New Delhi Delhi
My daughter was visiting this Mall and she saw a pair of sparrows perched high up near the ceiling of the Mall building.It was evening and they were inside the building.

We lived in a house with open verandahs and the sparrows flew in and out all the time.They made nests in the cups under the ceiling fans and we were always afraid that the sparrows would get killed.The fans were not used if they made their nests and the chicks hatched.There was a medium sized guava tree in the back yard and hundreds of sparrows came to roost in the evening ant the chirping of so many sparrows was music to our ears.

My daughter Shivani teaches in a school in the Sujan Singh Area, and sparrows are often seen in the school garden which is close to the old Sujan Singh Park flats. Being an old building it probably has suitable nesting places as the sparrows fly into the building and out into the school grounds .
It is my appeal to all people who construct their own independent houses - Please make some nook or corner of the exterior of the house sparrow - friendly where they can build nests. Most modern buildings simply have no places where house sparrows may nest. If possible, do plant some trees and leave food and water out for the birds.
