my mom used to give rice to sparrows. she is doing this since the day she heard that india is loosing sparrows. after taking bath, she gives the raw rice..... if someday she forgets and comes in the varandah, we notice that the sparrows wait for her and hit their mouth on the floor just to remind her that they are hungry and she has forgot to give them to eat. we feel very happy....
