i have been living in this area for last 16 years.
i used to feed them rice between 1997-98. they used to come in large numbers more than 100 (it reached that no. in few days)....(previously there were cultivated lands near n infront of my house)
but for some reasons i stopped after 1 year.
nw in 2011-12 i again started feeding them now they have decreased in number only 20-25 (feedin them from past 6 months)......(nw there r upcoming projects n constructions)
now they live in my backyard bushes n breed in nooks of our house previously they used to come only to feed as they had many places for habitat.
