After reading about "where have the sparrows gone ?" I decided to go all out and find them ! I used to spot them very irregularly on the terrace. Then I got a bird feeder outside my daughters' bedroom window and filled it up with sparrow food (grains) and I found that they started coming. At times I find 8-10 , sometimes lesser numbers. They come and sit , chirp , fight . They are together as far as other birds are concerned and do not allow other species .I keep water and have also made a mud bath for them on my terrace.They give us a lot of joy and if they dont come some day , we feel uneasy.
