I saw two sparrows coming to my window two months after I set up a herb and flower garden on my window grill that was 18 inches wide. Before that I had only seen pigeons and crows, never any sparrows.
After spotting them, I began leaving rice grains and a dish of water everyday. Since then, I have seen more sparrows come but never more than 5. Their numbers are very small and they fly away from food and water when the bigger birds come.
