On the few days when our village has electricity during the day, there is sparrow mortality quite often since they collide with fans.
However, they seem to have learned to dodge them rather well.
The sparrows prefer to nest in my room in the campus of the NGO where I work. They are really persistent, and it is a constant battle to keep their nests out of our rooms.
They used to prefer the space between our wall and the asbestos roof, but since we constructed an RCC roof they have taken to nesting inside the rooms, usually inside the ventilator.
