Kotagiri is my maternal grandmother's home.I ve been there till 1999.Later moved to coimbatore.I found House sparrows in large number during 1990-2004.Later the number has decreased.It has largely decreased that now in the recent past(2009-2012)i found only countable number of sparrows in this location.I miss them.I find them very cute and adorable.Their small body and their flight is a delight to watch.Its sad if their population is really depleting.
