Willolya lane, behind hotel niligiri woodlands Ooty Tamil Nadu
Dear Friends,
I was born and bought up in the hill station town called Udhagamandalam,(ooty) in the Niligiris district of Tamilnadu in India. It was an agricultural family surrounded with cultivation land normally vegetables.There use to be no electricity till i was in xth standard. The only way to pass the time was watching sparrows in and out of my house. I used to feed them with the available grains. Nearby we there was the woodlands hotel with ancient buildings. Sparrows used to nest in these buildings in the veranda roof and in bushes behind my house. I used to wake up hearing the sound of sparrows and till date the same is my practice when visit my home. I am 36 now a i find less sparrows in this area due to raise of concrete buildings.The cultivation land we had is now an housing apartment. Very few sparrows come to feed on the grains my mom spares every day in the morning and evening in front of my house.
