i notice that my local grocery wala is lucky , whenever i visit his shop for my supplies i find lot of sparrows feeding on the rice sacks .........i too have kept a flat earthen dish of water and similarly a bowl of mixed grains ........it give us joy to find sparrows coming and feeding but they fail to make nest as i think they are detered by our cats i have even provided an old shoe box as a nest but it failed to attract any sparrows or other birds
