I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Bangalore International Airport to see a large number of sparrows both inside and outside the airport. Especially near the eateries, they numbered close to 100 and kept pecking on the leftovers and would also eat from your plate if you don't shoo them off. Similarly, there were tens of sparrows in the Tibetan monastery, especially in the large prayer hall. First we thought they were stuck inside and were trying to get out. So we even managed to open up a few windows but they didn't seem to be interested in getting out at all.
