North sates like punjab haryana himachal Haryana Haryana
My thoughts: Considering my Sales job in north i have been touring punjab Haryana Himachal J&K since last 4 to 5 years. And i feel very sad to say that Sparrows has nearly extinted from Plane areas like Punjab & Haryana. I Have not seen sparrows in Punjab and haryana urban areas at all, only few can be seen in rural remote areas. Where as considering himachal & J&K i feel situation is still better as you can see few sparrows in these states. But overall numbers has gone down to few as compare to thousand around 8 to 10 years back. Being electronics & telecom engineer, i have my friends who are working in telecom companies and it is really a true fact that they have seen dead sparrows neaw microwave BTS towers all the places. I think Microwave due to telecom network is the major reason behind this massive disaster.

We always kept some cooked rice for them to eat. My wife fed my son who was a little boy by showing the sparrows. Now we do not see them except at Hyderabad New Airport. Hundreds of them are there happily sharing the food in the food court and terminal area. Beautiful to see.

In my childhood There were sparrows build there nest in my home, i saw all those very frequent, i play with them, i feed them, when i feel upset or depressed i will start watching them all my worries will fly along with them, Now a days its rare to see them, but i love to see them allways

I HAVE COME TO THIS RESIDENTAIL COLONY IN JANUARY 2006 AND THEN I HAVE SEEN REGULARY SPPAROW IN THE MORNING IN MY TERRACE AS WELL AS IN THE GRDEN IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE BUT FROM 2007 ONWARDS THE VISIBILITY OF SPPAROW REDUCED AND FROM 2008 ON WARD I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY SPPAROW IN MY LOCALITY. I THINK IT IS DUE TO EXTENSIVE OF CNG AND EFFECT OF ENVIORNMENT DISTURBANCE.
