I live in a flat in an apartment in Hyderabad and I first noticed House Sparrows in the school next door in 2003. In the past 2-3 years I have been seeing them chirping away at dawn in my own floor. They were attracted to the rangoli designs. Later, I noticed that they were actually partial to rice flour which my neighbour used in her rangoli. This observation inspired me to draw rangoli patterns on my threshold/entrance.
Now I have my winged visitors daily at my door at day break.
They enjoy feasting on the rangoli designs made from pure rice flour!

I live in 2BHK apartment at Vadodara,

A couple is having nest in my apartment.

They also having two child sparrows and they are still growing.

I glad to see them every day.

I love to click about birds... I recently shift in this area.. and with my cannon sx30is I just found a sparrow flying around... I got surprised... I clicked some snaps (which I upload later)

I missed them since my childhood... :)

I have observed the sparrows are vanishing and I am missing the morning chirp of this beautiful bird. According to me the change in our ecosystem and radio magnetic waves cause by the mobile towers are behind it.
