the sparrows are nesting in broken and unused pipe which come out from bathroom of a apartment which is next to my apartment. There might be 3-4 couples and i see around 2-3 chicks each year, still the population is not increasing in the rate it should be, i provide food and water for the birds and hence sparrows too eat it.

a lady who works in this grocery regularly cleans grains bought in bulk. the sparrows feed on the waste grains thrown out.

I have seen some sparrows in Manglore Central railway station when I was waiting for train. I do not know whehter that is a common sight there, since i am an occasional traveller to that place. This time I noticed it because I have read somwhere that house sparrows are now becoming extinct.
I could not stay there for some more time to observe them and find their nests.
Anyone from Manglore may be able to comment on this.

I was very interested to spend time with sparrows. I observed Morning time in my housr premises. Every time sparrows lived in my house premises in a Nightqueen plant nest. we are serve some feed to our pet hens. but these sparrows come colleting some feed pieces.
Sparrows fighting is very interesting. No words to express about that situation.
In my village sparrows are living more than 100. due to Cell towers not there in our village surrounding.

Sparrows hardly seen. Possibly Deterred by the predominating population of piegons in the area . No nests observed though potential nesting locations in the form of old buildings present.
