| Q11. Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | House sparrows were seen a lot about 5-6 years back. Now due to construction of concrete buildings ,there is very limited place for their habitat. They prefer Assam type thatch houses for construction of nest. Because of loss of habitat, the numbers are fast reducing. Some people even kill them for meat purpose. We are now trying to provide artificial nest boxes made up of local waste materials. Also we want to create awareness among the people of Assam and Meghalaya. Therefore we need funds for our works. |
