Would you like to share a story about House Sparrows from this time period? | the sparrows have located themselves in thick-set bamboo groves at the corner locales of each housing block within the township.. i have been residing here since 2001 and have seen their number increasing each year.. have not made attempt to check for nests as it may disturb them and send them scurrying.. during walks at dawn and dusk, have noticed them congregating in the groves and chirping away to glory, it's like all talk and none listen.. yet it's amazing to note that they are actually 'communicating' because i noticed that in morning they make groups and disperse in differing directions with a short time-gap in the flight of each group, and at dusk they congregate again coming in groups from different directions.. by nightfall there is absolute silence, like not a single sparrow is within the entire 440 acres township.. they are absolutely amazing birds- so invisible, and yet make their absence felt |
